Parkour, the urban phenomenon based on the art of movement is brought to you on video games for the first time by Eidos. This interesting game will feature on the PSP after being developed by Core Design.
The participants of the free running based on Parkour which is more of a way of life than an actual sport are known as Traceurs. For them, obstacles consist of environmental factors which include both natural and urban which they need to overcome. Parkour transforms the Traceurs far from the mad cities making it an extremely philosophical experience for them.
As you play this game, you find yourself flowing with fluid movements over the urban playground of concrete jungle. You clear obstacles by vaulting, running, jumping and climbing in Free Running. You even stretch yourself to perform certain jaw dropping and exhilarating trips across the roof tops of the inner city and leaps which defy death.
The interesting arrays of rooftops you will be exploring in London include the Dockland, Inner City and Council Estate. Spice up your game by customizing your character with exciting clothes from Adidas which includes the Hyperride trainer. You can free run by yourself or you have the option of playing with your friends with the help of the WiFi technology.
To be crowned King of Parkour is your aim and for this tricks, moves and stunts including the ‘Vertical Wall Runs’, ‘Pharaoh Climbs’, ‘Kong Vaults’ and ‘Rail Split Vaults’ have to be mastered using the different game modes as you race against competitors both computer controlled and human.
Sebastian Foucan, one of the founders of the Parkour movement appears as a mentor in free running and teaches you a few precious tricks and stunts. Free running takes you to places hitherto unseen and not ventured by anyone. You as the player break boundaries and dare to jump where others walk and dare to leap where others stall, mirroring the PSP’s philosophy of gaming anywhere, anytime on the move. Adding to all this excitement is your ability to perform some floor tricks including butterfly kicks and star jumps. In keeping with the Parkour spirit, free running offers exhilarating experiences and intense fun all the way.
