Need For Speed Carbon: Own the City brings you the same type of exciting races filled with lots of adventure and action we all know and love from other NFS games. The PSP version of this title is slightly different as compared to the PlayStation 2 and other console’s version, but the basic game play and theme is the same. Need For Speed Carbon: Own The City is basically a revengeful sequel to its last part in which you and your brother, Mick, face a vicious enemy during a hardcore street race who that delivers a fatal accident to both of you. Consequently you are left in a prolonged state of amnesia and Mick is dead.
Now, after six months you are again on your feet and join the car gang again to figure out the guy who killed your brother and ruined your career. In this mission the Mick’s ex-girlfriend Sara will be assisting you. Her soul too is full of agony and revenge. Now it’s up to you to co-ordinate with her in the best possible manner and re-gain the pride and honor for yourself, Sara and Mick by pressing the accelerator of your car.
The environment, racing platform and the graphics details are worth watching. Like the other NFS versions the Carbon: Own The City also offers true to life racing experience with action packed sequences. As far as psp games are concerned, the Need for Speed series is among the best racing experience out there, and this title more than lives up to that legacy. The missions are fairly satisfying as the AI of your competitors is sharp enough to understand your moves and reacting to it proactively. Apart from your hunt for the main villain you will also face some other arrogant racers who will challenge you on the spot and yes, this time also you have to keep a distance from the cops who never treat the street racers with humanity in any case. As far as the dynamism is concerned, Own the City did not have much to offer. Although you will be exposed to a number of standard circuit, sprint, and knockout races there is a little variety in the types of events. Overall, if you are a NFS fan then you must get it on your Playstation Portable.
