Silent Hill: Shattered Memories First Look at the Upcoming Survival Horror Game

Ten years ago, the creepy world of Silent Hill was released on the PlayStation by Konami. This was in keeping with the trend of survival horror games added with the spice of a psychological horror as well. Konami now plans the Silent Hill: Shattered Memories as a revamp of its original version.

In this game, you play as Harry Mason. He is a desperate father in search of his daughter who is lost in the Silent Hill. Silent Hill is a place that is positively creepy with freaky characters. All around, during your quest, you will come across supernatural monsters.

Developers Climax Studios is looking to keep the original, basic framework of this game intact. They call this new version a ‘reimagining’ rather than a remake. So expect it to be similar to other titles from the series, like Silent Hill: Origins PSP, but with improved features, and graphics naturally. So, even for those who have played the original game, this game is set to offer a completely different perspective.

The game’s interface is interestingly enough Harry’s mobile phone. With the help of this, users can access various features including the map of the town. It is possible for you to make and receive phone calls. Supernatural clues can be revealed with the help of pictures shown to the locals. There are familiar faces from the original game. In contrast to the original game, this game gives you a gun and not a lead pipe for your protection as you go around the spooky town. As Harry, you will have to use your experience to outbeat the creatures eager to get at out. For example, as Harry is caught by the enemies, he just has to shake them off and run to escape.

The city itself will be altered to reflect your interactions with the characters and the choices that you make. The Silent Hill: Shattered Memories comes with advanced graphics and the environmental and character details are fascinatingly crisp. Weather elements such as fog and snow are realistically portrayed.

Audio is completely new and this score is composed by Akira Yamaoka, the original composer. This game seems to be all set to take the fans on an interesting journey in the spooky land. Enjoy hours of fun searching for Harry’s daughter on your favourite PSP
