If it is gut-ripping action with trademark superhero moves that are bound to enthrall you then turn to X-Men Origins – Wolverine. The game is based on the movie of the same name set to release soon. This epic-adventure action game takes you beyond the basic storyline. The developers have infused cinema quality action sequences with a stunning use of 3D movement that the PlayStation Portable has become renowned for.
The game begins with Stryker attempting to revive Logan’s (Wolverine) lost memories by using tremendous amounts of electricity. This consequently causes him to fade into his memories that form the setting for the actual gameplay. From a recon mission in Japan the plot slowly unfolds to throw some light on Logan’s violent past. The X-Men Origins - Wolverine PSP game sheds the innocent soldier drawn by forces beyond his control, to show Wolverine as a horrifically violent stone-cold killer. The developers have introduced some really hot fighting moves apart from the usual gouging and tearing to bits. Of these the slow motion lunge with his razor-sharp adamantium claws towards the enemy is an absolute delight to watch. The rage abilities unlock special powers and moves; while his feral senses could help you gain a tactical advantage over the enemy. With over a 100 different custom moves to perform and real time regenerative powers the game offers some engaging gameplay.
The detailing in not so vivid and gets pixilated which is quite frustrating considering the leap in technology. Marvel Entertainment Inc. should have gone all out to ensure that the details are richer and have smoother detailing. Apart from the death defying moves and the razor sharp claws that rip through anything the game does not have more to offer. A great buy for gamers who hanker for their pound of flesh.
