A group of monks invented the Mafuba - a powerful and life-threatening enchantment, that has been designed to bind those caught within it - and used it to imprison the evil Piccolo. Ōzaru disappears and the Earth gradually recovers from evil. In the present day, Piccolo escapes his captivity and with the approach of another solar eclipse, he begins the search for the legendary Dragonballs so as to make a wish to the magical dragon Shen Long for the power to destroy the Earth. An 18 year old boy named Son Goku along with his team is levied with the responsibility of protecting the world and destroying the evil intentions of Piccolo.
