The Rock Band Unplugged (PSP) is the predecessor of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, the first of musical games that revolutionised the gaming world. The Rock Band Unplugged game would provide the player with a full band experience and relive the elements from the older Rock Band game. The player doesn’t need to hold any plastic guitar to play the game. He or she has to play the game with the buttons on the system and match the music layout box from which the music will be played. The player can also create and customize his/her own band, band-mates and can even change the band logo. The players can take control directly of the drums, lead/bass guitars and vocals.

The Rock Band Unplugged can replenish the player’s dream of a World Tour. The player can customize his or her own band and can head out on to a world tour which involves 24 cities and venues. The player of the Rock Band Unplugged PSP game can build his or her music library. With the Rock Band Unplugged the player can expand his or her portable music library with the DLC from in-game music store of Rock Band. The player can simply choose a set of song list to play multiple song tracks in a row or just pick up a single song and continue to jam. Brand new songs can be downloaded on the PSP through Wi-Fi. This is the first option ever provided on the PSP system.

The Rock Band Unplugged game features more than 40 Original Master Recordings which includes tracks from rock & roll’s biggest all time bands and singers. The soundtracks of the Rock Band Unplugged spans genres of punk, metal, rock and classic rock which includes Nirvana, Weezer, Pearl Jam, The Who, The Police, Boston, Foo Fighters, Billy Idol, Black Tide, Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, Freezepop, Queens of the Stone Age, and many more.
