Space Invaders is the popular arcade video game designed by Tomohiro Nishikado and was released in 1978. The creator took almost a year in designing this game and developing the required hardware to produce it. Although, the game is quite simple in comparison to today’s standards, it became one of the forerunners of modern video game at that time and also helped in taking the video game industry to new level. It is one of the earliest shooting games and it features a number of two-dimensional graphics. The plot of the game involves defeating waves of aliens with a laser canon and earning more and more points. As you defeat more aliens, the movement of aliens and the heartbeat sound of the game speed up and after defeating the aliens, another wave is displayed with a slightly higher difficulty level.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the arcade game, the developers came up with a new title for the game called the Space Invaders Extreme (PSP). It has been created by combining the original game of the arcade shooter with a new background music, sound and visual effects to provide you a new and addictive gaming experience. A stunning union of futuristic graphic design and cutting-edge audio and an amazing gameplay details together contributed in making the most extreme embodiment ever made of Space Invaders.

The Space Invaders Extreme (PSP) includes sound tracks provided by a number of famous musicians and DJs such as Sugiurumn, Wall Five, DJ Aki, Atom & Masaki Sakamoto and Altz and the sound effects are totally synchronized to match the beats of the music.
