The PSP sales boom in Japan continues relentlessly. The PSP even sold more units in one week than all the other consoles combined. Is this due to the recently released smash hit Monster Hunter (which we reported on), or because the Japanese simply have a liking for PSPs?
Regardless of the cause, our beloved console has continued to outsell the competition at an exponential rate. The numbers from the previous week look like this:

- DS Lite: 55,190
- Wii : 44,618
- PS3: 11,303
- PS2: 10,423
- Xbox 360: 1,452
