The features released with System software version 3.95 are as follows:-
- Support for PLAYSTATION® Network titles is greatly enhanced in 3.95
- Under Controller settings we can put Assign Buttons to Custom mode also.
- We now have the options of quitting and turning off the PS3 System directly or Quitting without turning off the PS3 system from the Quit remote Play.

In 2000 series there a feature named Skype which is really cool! With Skype application you can make calls over the internet anywhere in the world to a person who is also using Skype without a penny! Though for making and receiving calls to any other phone you need SkypeOut, which is a paid facility. And in some cases voicemail is also a paid feature.
There are some limitations too of this Skype feature:-

- We need a Memory Stick Duo with at least a free space of 1 MB.
- Internet Connection with wireless access point (WAP)
- Headphones with remote control are also needed.
