Playing Lair On PSP – Streaming the Game in

From the PS3 to PSP, you can play Lair on PSP and you’d then be the savvy, centre of all attention – the cynosure of all eyes at your work place. Thanks to the Remote Play functionality on the PSP, it is now possible to dock your PS3 and let the game stream on to your PSP.

A little excerpt from the Playstatic site goes like this:

“Previously you could only use the Remote Play feature for watching videos, playing music and browsing through your pictures, but now Lair is the first game that allows you to stream its content to the PSP. According to people on the Playstation forum, it’s working pretty well, although it really depends on your connection. Since the Playstation 3 only compresses the video output and sends it over to your PSP, you’ll see better results with a better connection. Of course, this also works with local remote play on your home network, which usually has much more bandwidth available.
If you want to try this yourself, simply set up your PS3 for remote use with your PSP and then fire up remote play on both sides. After selecting the Blu-ray disc on your PSP, you’ll get disconnected at first, but when you reconnect, Lair is booted up and you’re ready to play. It has to be noted though that since the PSP controller doesn’t have L2, R2 or two analog sticks, you might experience some inconveniences.”

We could think of everything when it comes to the PSP but we somehow missed the fact that we could have streaming games on. Think about it — if this becomes a possibility a few of those hugely popular games on the Playstation series, you could be able to play all of them too. Apart from the mind-boggling range of games for the PSP alone.
