We have always been amazed at the extreme versatility of the PSP and even then, we are pleasantly surprised when things like this happen – There is now a plethora of learning tools available for use on your PSP. So not only do you just while away time and immerse yourself in the sinful pleasure of playing thrilling games on PSP, but you will also learn on the PSP.

How’s this for a hand-held (Hand-holding?) experience? Did you even think of the possibility of your PSP being a learning device? Actually, come to think of it – the PSP makes for an awesome learning device simply because it is almost like a computer. If computers can bring information and learning to your bedrooms. PSP can get it to you, anywhere.

Quoting from an excerpt on pspfanboy:

“Atlantic Link is now offering PSP owners the most valuable gift of all: the gift of learning. Their e-learning tools can now design courses for the PSP’s internet browser, which can be deployed from Memory Stick or online. The tools allow creators to adapt their programs to the small screen.”

Mike Alcock from Atlantic Link is perhaps a bit too enthusiastic about the possibilities of this service. In their press release, he notes: “The potential applications for this technology are huge and almost mind-boggling. Tourist guides, language training, product training and updates, maintenance guides and training, medical training, interactive museum guides, schools training, the list is almost endless.”

It is so heartening to note that a few companies do think of expanding learning solutions to hitherto unthought-of venues like a hand-held gaming device. Who would have thought that it would even be an option? That triggers another thought train in our heads, by the way. If e-learning can be enabled on gaming devices, can gaming be made possible on any of the learning vehicles we use? Wouldn’t that be learning while having fun — either ways, learning while having fun is almost a reality thanks to Atlantic link.
