There is practically not a single person on the planet who has not yet heard of Superman. Yes, the same human bird with a muscular body flying over the skyscrapers of Metropolis in his blue attire with a red cloth hanging from his back. Now your evergreen superhero will fly, jump, and utilize his unmatched super power at the press of a button on your PSP. All because the Brandon Routh’s blockbuster movie “Superman Returns” has now turned into a video game.
This title is available on all video game consoles, including the Nintendo DS Lite, PS2, Xbox 360 Elite, and of course your beloved handheld Play Station Portable. In the “Superman Returns” game none of superman’s renowned powers are missing. Of course crime fighting and flying are included, but the game does offer a little more than just a generic copy of the film. Your superman will surely not be struggling with trivial tasks such as stopping purse-snatchers or foiling carjackers. Instead the superhero has to take care of some Herculean task, which currently number around 50 in the game. Bridge collapses, buses falling off bridges, plane crashes, and confronting the 6- foot tall Metallo are all challenges superman will be expected to face. To accomplish these tasks you have the signature superhero superpowers at your disposal, including high speed flying, bullet and bomb proof body, laser vision, active 6th sense and many. Superman can even use the surrounding environment to his advantage, by lifting a car or a pole to use as a weapon, blowing air, utilizing laser vision to ignite inflammable surroundings etc. You can even learn some melee fighting techniques, such as the “thousand fists” move, which makes your Superman zip in and out of the screen. Overall this is a must have game for any fans of Superman and the movie.
