The Enhanced PSP-3000 is officially on the Way

The PSP-3000 will be an improvement over the current PSP-2000, and makes slight changes to the design of the Slim and Light PSP, together with the addition of a built-in microphone and high contrast LCD screen. The PSP-3000 with its added high resolution features, and voice input, will offer PSP gamers even more enjoyment.

The PSP-3000 comes with a built-in microphone, which helps immensely in using Skype and other communication tools. There is an additional Video output provided for playing games in interlace format on non HDTVs or non progressive TVs. These can be connected through separately sold cables. The PSP-3000 has 64MB of internal memory. It is also equipped with a 4GB memory stick Pro Duo, which helps one store more games, videos, music and photos. It supports wireless LAN and high speed USB connections. The gaming console has inbuilt speakers and all the essential buttons are provided for a convenient and easy use.

In addition to the boring Piano Black color, the PSP-3000 is now also available in two more colors, including pearl white and mystic silver with a glossy finish. It weighs only 189 grams and measures 69.4 x 18.6 x 17.4 millimeters. The improved screen in the PSP-3000 features a higher contrast, an anti-reflective coating, and a wider color gamut, which further results in sharper, more colorful and brighter images.

It costs around £140, making it slightly more expensive than the PSP Slim Lite 2000 model. The extra and added features easily account for and justify the PSP-3000’s increased cost. The PSP-3000 will be released, with its additional features, around mid October this year. Many PSP owners will no doubt be tempted to upgrade, especially if they frequently use Skype or want an improved screen.

Hey, i think the PSP is an amazing device. Dont knock it becuase you harbor a misdirected rage towards Sonys development department.
