Hot Pixel is a collection of super stylized, crazy looking micro games, basically targeting the older teen and adult audience. The game has a very unique characteristic: switching between any two games occurs very quickly, and sometimes so quickly the player doesn’t even realize games have been switched. Hot Pixel features a lot of unlockable levels, which keeps the game quite entertaining and increases the overall playing time.
The entire game is divided into ten episodes. Each of these episodes is enclosed in a razor thin territory. The content of these micro games reminds one of old arcade games is also often set in urban settings, unlike the mini-games in Dr. Reiner Knizias Brainbenders. Each of the micro games are themselves structured to be very fast and simple, allotting the player only a few seconds to complete each task. The game speed keeps on increasing and getting faster, as the player progresses.
This game of Hot Pixel consists of more than two hundred micro games. The main motive of dividing the game into episodes is to beat every single game in each episode. As you successfully complete the episode modes, you will get to unlock more games, which are either enhanced versions of previously played games or something different. The game could be anything from a puzzle to a simple exercise of just pressing the correct button. This game also supports multiplayer Ad-hoc (PSP to PSP connectivity) gameplay.
Hot Pixel allows for additional playing modes, including something called Playlist mode. The playlist can be of two types, either created by the playlist editor or created by the user by downloading or creating one himself. The playlist modes allows for three different types of gameplay: first you must try to beat a certain number of games, then secondly you must survive in an allocated time interval, and finally in freeplay you can play the game without thinking or worrying about winning or losing.
Hot Pixel is a collection of micro-games that ensures a unique entertaining experience. Despite its simple graphics, this package of mini games has enough variety and unlockable levels to keep players interested.
