Excellent racing games don’t need any introduction and the same holds true with Ford Racing: Off Road. The game is highly appreciated by both gamers and critics. The game manages to deliver in each and every element necessary for any exciting and thrilling racing game.
The natural and realistic graphics deceive you into thinking you are really driving and not just playing a game. Each and every texture on the vehicles is in so much detail that you can even point out a nut or a bolt. For the handheld PSP this is quite an accomplishment. The sound and music completes the graphics and is also surprisingly good. The games, also known as Landrover Offroad, includes some rocking electric guitar sounds which support the excitement and thrill perfectly. Now that we’ve covered the game’s appearance and sound we should move onto the most important part, namely, the gameplay.
The first 15-20 minutes require a bit of struggle, due to the difficulty in learning the controls, but afterwards it is nothing but smooth sailing. In this spectacular title you’ll also be accountable for the camera movement at some intervals, which can also make things slightly confusing. The title takes you off road, which means you’re not there to race on those smooth, speedy roads but on wild, crazy, and aggressive tracks. You’ll experience racing in the deserts, and go through water and ice. This is the real meaning of off road. It gives you that unbelievable feel as if you’re driving yourself and managing the steering. There’s no background story involved but in the main mode you’re set targets in each level. You’ll come across some spectacular range of targets of various difficulties. Off Road is an superbly designed racing game, and even you can master the controls it is definitely worth investigating further.
