It’s obvious that race oriented titles includes cars and other vehicles. But have you heard a puzzle game involving cars and that too as its focal point? If your answer is a big NO then you can try Grip Shift for an entirely new experience.

Sidhe Entertainment’s Grip Shift isn’t a driving game to the extent that involves too many puzzles. Nevertheless, it contains many aspects of a diving game. The player will definitely get to drive on the specially designed tracks, but it’s not as fun as in Need For Speed, TrackMania etc. You’ll begin with a goofily designed racer and proceed towards one of the four initially unlocked vehicles. Undefined racers don’t create as much excitement as the cars do, because only the cars possess specific and unique stats. First, you’ll experience the beginner levels, and then later you can enter the challenge mode.

The specially designed tracks are filled with crazy platforms, shortcuts, jumps, teleporters and lot more trouble. Each track includes a heart shaking task for you to accomplish, which completely keeps you immersed in the game. The various tasks in Gripshift include finishing the track in a set time period, collecting the scattered stars or hitting the set check points. Just complete the task in the set amount of time and you’ll keep rising in the game. Most of the game is interlinked and you must collect a certain number of credits before unlocking the next difficulty level.

The puzzles are strategy based and designed with a lot of intelligence and cleverness. Graphically the title is very sound and appealing, as you’ll immediately notice while playing. The cars are deliberately rendered and detailed. So for anyone who likes to mix puzzles with racing, Grip Shift could be a lot of fun.
