Another action packed title is going to be added in the Parasite Eve series soon. Last summer the developers said that this one would only be for mobile phones, but fortunately it turns out its making its way to the PSP too. Oh! In case you are wondering, the new title is named The Third Birthday.
This title is developed by the Square Enix. The makers of such legendary titles as Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core, have yet to reveal much about this third version. However, we can make certain guessing regarding the gameplay and content from a small trailer that’s been released. There was not any new kind of footage or special things in the trailer. All that was shown was the flashbacks of the previous two versions of the Parasite Eve. The initial incident which took place in Manhattan that started the Parasite Eve series were shown, followed by another clipping of the second part in which a lady was transformed into a neo-mitochondrial creature (NMC).
Now in 2009, the third version will come up with new weird creatures called Twisted, which can be defeated by another new creature called Overdive, but only Aya Brea can use it. The third part of this legendary game is based primarily on gun action. It begins with the return of Aya after eight years, standing in a wedding dress and moving towards the altar, when suddenly a man appears from the chapel’s front door and shoots with a machine gun. Aya then turns back with a gun in her hand to return fire. During this whole scene her wedding ring falls down on the floor. A few seconds later that ring was soaked in blood and some words were narrated in the background, “This is my gift for her third birthday as she wakes up from her lost past. She may be a gift from heaven, who can save mankind that’s trapped in the twist of time.” Now what happened over there, whose blood that was, and what this narration intended to convey, is still a secret which has yet to be revealed to anxious PSP fans.
