Whenever it comes to puzzle oriented titles we always think of classics like the legendary Lumines, Puzzle Guzzle and more. The magic created by these titles is surely unmatched and unbeatable, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look for something new. Our search can end with the latest puzzle oriented title we have discovered: Puzzlescape.

The title is actually fairly addictive and fun, and could even compete with some of the legendary titles we mentioned earlier. Puzzle Scape employs pulsating techno. As a player you’ll locate a row of colored blocks, meant to combine into chains of the same color, and which actually drop from above onto the title grid. To accomplish this you have to select adjacent blocks and swap their places by utilising a two block wide cursor. You must focus on creating a two by two square, rather than fashion rows and columns of like colored blocks. When you achieve this it will not only destroy the blocks in the square, but also those of the same color attached to it.

There are different single player modes, including the architect and the artist mode. In the architect mode you have to accomplish a series of objectives, such as constructing a 15 block chain or clearing 20 identical colored blocks. Meeting these tasks will earn you a medal depending upon how early you accomplish the target. Your standard scrolling mode is your Artistic mode where you’ll get a chance to play continuously until and unless your column reaches the top of the screen. All the puzzle levels are separated into four different themes, two of which are flowers and machines. Each theme includes 10 levels, which are spiced up with whatever the theme is. You’ll definitely be reminded of the unforgettable Lumines Puzzle Fusion. All puzzle fans can gather around to this great title.
