Assassins and assignation attempts are the flagship features of this game whose theme is based on slash and smash. Assassins Creed 2 for the Sony PlayStation Portable is a game which is certainly not for the faint hearted. The kind of violence in this game requires the gamer to have a spine to endure all the carnage. If the first edition game from Ubisoft was not enough for you, then the sequel promises more. The action and turmoil continues from where Part I had left. The gamer plays the devastating assassin who goes on a mass slaughter spree and decimates anyone who comes in his path. The gamer is a part of a family on whose lives this story is based. The family is based in Italy and the story develops from where the Renaissance period left Italian land. Conspiracy leads to a lot of unnerving things and the gamer is left with nothing but revenge and vendetta in his heart.
Ezio, the protagonist becomes friends with Leonardo da Vinci, goes head on with the most influential and authoritative families in Florence and sets out on voyages through Venice canals where he is trained to become a brutal assassin. The gameplay in the original story has been retained and the action has only been taken to a higher echelon. Playing the Assassins Creed 2 (PSP) game would be a different experience for those who have not played the first edition and will provide the same rush of adrenaline to those who are in sync with all the action. The pricing is economical which should be enough motivation for you to get your copy from a store immediately.

Gamers fond of hack and slash will find a breath of fresh air with the Warriors of the Lost Empire (PSP). It is an action game with a proper plot and lots of sensible action. Everything takes place in dungeons and you can also expect fire breathing dragons to make an impression. The setting of the game is quite primitive and the excitement is hard to resist. The Roman touch adds a lot of value to the game and will make the gamer feel like a Roman gladiator. The city in which the game is portrayed is said to be plagued by monsters and the dead. Wizards will show off their wizardry and the ghosts are spooky as usual. Every mission the gamer is sent to a distinct dungeon and the monsters that need to be fought are different. There is a boss to be combated for going ahead in the game. Surprise appearance of magical elevators is a good gimmick to add excitement and keeps the interest alive.
The gamer can choose any one out of the four allotted characters. Each character has different powers attached to him and displays unique skills. The combat sequences are good and makes the gamer yearn for more. The Warriors of the Lost Empire PSP game is not the run-of-the-mill types and has a lot of substance in it. It is as good as an action game can be and provides a lot of entertainment. The pricing has been done as per industry standards. Get a copy of this PlayStation Portable game and try it out. The money you spend on it will be worth it.

Kratos is back with his voyage for vengeance and this time he will leave no stone unturned. Following the stupendous success of ‘God of War: Chain of Olympus’, the makers of the game have released the God of War: Chain of Olympus (Platinum) for the Playstation Portable. The game starts off with the same concept in which Kratos was cheated into slaying his wife and daughter and afterwards withdrew his loyalty towards Ares. The gods have been left powerless and the onus of rescuing is on Kratos. The camera angles are undoubtedly dramatic and there are a lot of novel combat manoeuvres that have been introduced. The combo attacks are as devastating as they can ever be. This is one factor that makes playing the God of War game a very enthralling experience.
There are a lot of hidden mysteries to be explored in the game like the Gates of Hades and the Depths of Tartarus. The ancient world will be very exciting to explore and the secrecies will be more riveting. Buy the game if you have played the original one and you will see a lot of fantastic changes. The revelations will be more endearing and our hero Kratos will be as devastating as he has been till now. The game has been priced very reasonably and the Platinum version promises a celebration that has never been seen before. The God of War: Chain of Olympus (Platinum) PSP game is a very good addition and will give you complete value for money. Go and get your piece right away.

Individuals who love gaming on their portable system are particularly going to love this one. The Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter 2 (PSP) is more or less like the PS3 version, though with some minor changes here and there in order to make it compatible to the portable system. Thinking about the original PS3 game version, the makers of Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter 2 (PSP) have done a pretty decent job while trying to include all the action and drama of this series into a portable player, ideal for handheld gaming.
Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter 2 (PSP) promises a smoother game play and improved controls which help to make the gaming experience a real delight. However there is one major flipside to the Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter 2 PSP version. It is natural for the fans to expect that this portable game version would be just as fantastic as the original PS3 version.
However there is not even a trace of GRAW in this portable version. In fact, GRAW cannot be called as an ideal condensed version of the original PS3 series. The plot of this game is on a Tom Clancy level and includes various twists and turns. The graphics are quite nice and the time taken in loading is surprisingly short as well. The flip part, however, is that the Playstation Portable game does not offer any options for individuals who are looking forward to play a multiplayer game with their friends. The glitch is that it only allows for a single player and that too, ad-hoc. Thus all your past records and achievements in the game will return to reset/default mode once you turn off the game.

A rollicking, roller coaster ride of mythical adventures and legendary folktales Indiana Jones has probably been the most successful adventure franchise that has been able to captivate the audience. It would have been impossible not to make a game out of this extremely popular plot. Developed by Lucasarts this game takes off right after the earlier version Indian Jones and the Infernal machine. Updated graphics, improved control and detailed environments coupled with the captivating storyline that zips you across the globe in a whirlwind quest Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is the latest game from Lucasarts to hit the PSP.
The story is set in the year 1939 when the World War II begins and is set 18 years prior to the happenings in the Kingdom of the Crystal skull. The plot revolves around the legendary archaeologist/adventurer who is on a quest to locate the staff of Moses. Indiana moves from Chinatown in San Francisco to the exotic jungles of the Panamas and battles enemies who are out to thwart his search for the staff. An elephant chase and a fight on top of the cable car are some of the peak action points in the game. The developers have utilised a newly developed Euphoria game engine. This new animation engine allows the game to move beyond the ordinary as it ensures that all the characters never have the same reaction, all the enemies put in the game think on their own and all the objects used display their own distinctive textures and quality. Indiana Jones and the Staff of the Kings PSP features a variety of new concepts like a highly interactive environment, lots of challenges that allow you to unlock adventures like a biplane combat with your friends in the cooperative mode and trademark escape to save your life moments.
The game was slated for release in 2007 but due to the fact that the Star Wars: the Force Unleashed (uses the same engine) was focused upon it was put on the backburner for a while. All set to hit the stands in all formats on the 12th of June it incorporates highly stylistic features that are bound to amaze you and fill you with an exhilarating rush.

Many a game has been made based on movies released or yet to be released. The Incredible Hulk is one such game which just borders on the weird as it does not have any depth in the game play as well as graphics and settings.
Incredible Hulk is a game set in a city environment. Based on the movie the characters resemble the actors. For example, Tim Roth looks exactly like Tim Roth and Edward Norton resembles Rodney Trotter.
Setting itself is quite moderate. It opens engagingly enough. However as the game progresses you come across boring landmarks that you recognize. There are not enough clear introductions to the game. However, this does not really matter as the Hulk is all about trampling about, stomping on the rubble and knocking down things. Graphics and game presentation is also mediocre. Do not expect anywhere near the same quality as The Incredible Hulk PS3 version; and even that version was admittedly not too great. The missions in the handheld version are familiar and involve the usual breaking things, fighting bosses, etc. There is little direction and purpose in the game where you can move around only by knocking down innocent pedestrians, smashing buses filled with passengers and knocking holes in buildings. Missions always start with Bruce’s conversation with the NPC. Player is often at a loss as to why Bruce has become the Hulk generally moving around squashing people for fun.
Of course, if you love to just simply dash around destroying things, then this game provides for a lot of fun and action. A variety of actions allows Hulk to pick up debris, use a concrete slab as a shield, push bad guys off skyscrapers with a girder, etc. This game is similar in many ways to the 2005 version of the Ultimate Destruction game released on the Game cube, Xbox and PS2. This game is age rated at 12 years and above.
The game offers some basic fun that is short lived. There are a variety of similar games with a better presentation and features. The Incredible Hulk seems to be a poor attempt at passing off a hurriedly made game before the movie hits the screens. There are definitely much better games in the same category which can provide you a better level of entertainment.

Kingdom Hearts from Square Enix has so far been all about Riku and Sora who are on a Kingdom adventure holding a keyblade. Birth by sleep for the PlayStation Portable is a completely different turn off from the original story line. This game starts with talking about keyblade warriors before Riku and Soru’s time. Aqua, Ventus and Terra are three apprentices of keyblade. Game play and visuals are excellent in this game and are sure to add to the enjoyment.
At the demo event, it was possible to check out playing as both Ventus and as Terra. Terra’s demo was all about teaching users how the battle has to be played. Enemies who surrounded Terra at the start of the game are completely different from the previous versions. Enemies themselves are referred to in Japanese as Anbaasu which in English means Unbirth. On his way to the Enchanted Kingdom castle, Terra has to fight various Anbaasu of different sizes. Boss of the castle is a huge machine red in colour.
Controls in Birth by Sleep are user friendly. An interesting additional feature in this game is the command meter. As you attack enemies you find your command meter going up. When it fills up, you get to play the command mode with extra firepower. Other interesting modes include the thunderbolt and the fireblazer.
Ventus’ demo referred to as the Castle of Dreams was not as straightforward as the Terra’s demo. Here it is possible to avoid combats but requires player to extensively search for items to carry the storyline forward. Go through the game jumping on yarns and books. Forks on the walls can be used as a springboard to jump to high places. Additional techniques that cannot be found in the Terra demo include walking rather than dashing around especially while falling from high places by tilting the analog stick a little.
Solid gameplay and excellent graphics are sure to add to the excitement and fun this game has to offer. The story might be completely different from earlier titles like Kingdom Hearts 2 PS2, but the animation and graphics are rather similar. Slated to be released in 2009 in Japan, Birth by Sleep is sure to provide hours of fun on your favourite PSP.

Star Ocean: Second Evolution resembles the original Star Ocean – First Departure in its gameplay, mechanics and structure. A lot of improvements however ensure it is far superior to its predecessor.
Rena Lanford and Claude C. Kenny are the main characters. Claude is transported to the planet Expel while on a research mission. This is a less advanced planet where Claude meets Rena. “Sorcery Globe” is a meteorite which is explored by both of them. Claude is raised to the status of a hero there following a prophecy.
An interesting option includes selection of the character. You can either choose to be Claude or Rena and this gives you an interesting perspective of Star Ocean: Second Evolution from both angles. With new scenes and different characters, playing this game the second time is refreshingly different. In fact, it feels like playing a new game the moment you change from Rena to Claude or vice versa.
In keeping with the tradition of the role-playing game where there are various monsters to be fought in order to obtain valuable information, you also wander around the world map, go into the dungeons and investigate, etc. Added fun and excitement is provided in the form of diverse characterization and an interesting variety in special arts.
Characters include the swordsman, the three eyed alien with a gun, the pharmacist and a witch. With the help of the system called Private Action, it is possible to opt for other story lines which eventually integrate characters into the mainstream to choose the story ending. Another area of interest includes the system which helps create items and the skill system which is deep.
Combat however is pretty simple as compared to other games from the RPG genre. Good sound effects, excellent graphics and a pleasing sound track add to the value of the game. People like Spike Spencer who gained fame with his Evangelion Genesis Neon are quite interesting. However, dialogue rendering lacks direction. On the whole, this game is a wonderful and interesting game and you can enjoy hours of it on your favourite Sony PSP. Especially for all those who have not had the pleasure of playing the original version, this game is a must.
