Air combat enthusiasts cannot resist buying this game. The intensity of the combat is exciting and thrilling and the game is loaded with fun filled missions. The game features solid, arcade style air combat.

The feel and atmosphere of animated cartoons is brought to life with the help of musical scores and cinemas. Charming voice acting for characters add to the element of fun. Snoopy, as we all know, has always been highly fascinated with air battles in World War I. Pet beagle of Charlie Brown is famous for imagining himself to be a popular flying ace adept at attacking the legendary Red Baron in dogfights.

Namco-Bandai games offer this exciting scenario in the all new video game Snoopy Vs the Red Baron. As a player, you can take control of aircraft like Sopwith Camel to go on missions. The game is obviously more cute than other flight sim games like Ace Combat X, however, it still contains plenty of dogfighting action. Missions in the Snoopy game involve you in the middle of war time action with your favorite Peanut characters and shooting down hordes of enemy planes. This is an ideal game for kids with all the excitement without the bloodshed. As you shoot a plane to bits, characters parachute to safety. This does not in any way hinder the intensity of action making this game ideal for older people too.

Game starts with a scene where Snoopy is fast asleep over his dog house. As Lucy and Charlie Brown walk over and question Snoopy on his World War I action dreams, our journey through Snoopy’s fantastic dreams commence. As the ace WWI, you get to control the actions of Snoopy. You are taken through Allied army missions numbering twenty two. To free Europe from the powerful grip of the tyrannical Red Baron is the objective of the game.

At the end of missions, animated video scenes appear. The tried and true concepts along with innovative experiences make this game one of the most thrilling combat games. The overall look and feel of the game is interesting with the twenty two missions being split into multiple segments. Shooting down enemy planes, sinking gunships and blimps are the standard mission activities.

With a host of familiar characters from Peanuts assisting you, you can have non stop fun with this game on your favorite PSP.

Posted on Dec 9, 2008 05:14:50 PM

A flight sim offering various thrilling and interesting situations for the gamer is what the MACH Modified Air Combat Heroes is all about. The actual racing here is fast and filled with fun with interesting environments and a variety of aircraft models you can even customize.

This latest game for PSP from Sierra is a combat game which is though low key on the realism aspect packs enough firepower and speed to provide gamers with a lot of thrill and excitement.

Fantastic graphics add to the fun as you race around combating in some of the most action packed moments in M.A.C.H. (Modified Air Combat Heroes). There is a feeling the events and stages could have been more varied but the overall impact of the game is quite stupendous as it is.

As a gamer, you cannot but love the story behind the game though bordering on the ridiculous. The story line starts in the year 2049 when the global military superpowers decide to replace fighter jets that are manned by unmanned aircraft. Military aircraft which are obsolete are sold to bidders and fighter pilots find themselves suddenly out of job. An underground network is formed by the rich and affluent fighter pilots in association with crazy hobbyists and arms dealers in the black market.

For glory, fortune and power, these people use aircrafts that are decommissioned to fight dogfights and races in three single player modes. These include the career mode, arcade mode and challenge mode.

From the map, you can choose any single fight to play in the arcade mode. You can pick specific objectives and complete those including collecting coins, competing in time trials, etc in the challenge mode.

There are five difficulty levels in the career mode. Each level comes with several events. As you compete in these events which include dogfights and races, you earn points depending on your performance. The pilot who collects the most number of points towards the end of the game wins the race.

As a reward for coming first in an event, you get to unlock new planes and also earn attractive cash prizes.
