Hunting has been a regular activity of people for ages. In the beginning man used to hunt other creatures for his survival. As time passed, hunting turned out to be one of the interesting hobbies too. Hunting games have been there all the time, and it provided the necessary entertainment for a particular group of people. One of the popular PSP games that is categorized under hunting is Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts: Ultimate Challenge.
The game was developed at the Sand Grain Studios and was published by Activision. It gave a breath easy situation to the hunting fans, when the game was launched by the Cabela franchise for the PSPs. The game was launched earlier for other consoles as well and it still runs good. In fact, the game can be viewed as very similar to the PC game Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2. Slight modifications of others versions, coupled with few features for the handheld, make the Ultimate Challenge an amazing game for the PSP.
The game is split into two major modes. The first one is the story mode. This moves around a standard tale where the hunter has to rescue his friend. Various locations have to be covered, hoards of animals have to be hunted and then you will get to rescue your friend from the clutches of nature. The second one is the quick action mode, which contains dozens of individual missions to have fun. Story or mission, the game gives an overall great hunting experience.
You can have endless hours of fun and entertainment with your family and friends with this game on your favorite PSP.

Kao Challengers is one of the few platformers available for the Sony PSP. Kao Challengers is actually a port of Kao the Kangaroo Round 2, which was originally released for the Atari console in 2004. Kao Challengers is assumed to be a sequel to the original release, Kao the Kangaroo Round 2, but the storyline shows no sign of continuity with the previous version whatsoever.
The hero’s friend, Parrot, introduces you to Kao first, when he finds Kao imprisoned on a ship. After Kao breaks out with the help of Parrot, he finds out that an evil hunter is kidnapping all his animal friends, and that they need his help before the evil hunter hurts them. The objective is for Kao to collect 3000 coins to confront the evil hunter and save his friends.
Kao has numerous techniques and moves that he can use to force the hunters thug to let go of his friends. For most of the game, it’s usually speed and attacks used to defeat his enemies. He also has some moves like the “butt smash”, which he can use to take out multiple enemies in the same area.
There are tons of items to be discovered and some bonus quests as well, which can be accessed by collecting crystals. You then use the crystals in the Dark Dock, a hub stage from where the other levels are accessed. Other items like stars can be used to improve Kao’s skills, making Kao jump higher, or move faster.
There are also a couple of stages where Kao has to pilot vehicles to move around the level. Some of these include Snowboards, motorboats, or even piloting one of his flying friends, and using them to travel. There are quite a few continue bells around in Kao Challengers, which act as save points, and are places you can begin your game again if you die. Luckily, lives are unlimited, so you won’t have to worry about ‘Game Overs’. The game isn’t even that hard. There are no difficulty levels to choose from.
Another plus point is that Kao Challengers offers multiplayer modes, unlike its Atari version. Most modes in multiplayer resemble a Deathmatch and there are variations of it. The game is quite good for kids and fans of the Kao the kangaroo series.

The widespread magic of the Open Season movie was truly unforgettable. Inspired from the great movie, Ubisoft have taken it upon themselves to release an equally great game based on the film for every video game console available in the market, including of course our beloved PSP.
Our heroes Boog and Elliot who entertained you in the movie are keenly waiting for you in the game. As the protagonists of the movie, they are also the main characters in the game. Both these fun characters are sent into a 3D world where they struggle to complete the missions assigned to them by the native forest creatures. It can sometimes be quite entertaining to watch what happens to Boog and Elliot.
The story is along the same lines as the movie. The game begins with a tame grizzly bear named Boog and his tale of how he got into a partnership with a scrawny deer named Elliot. Elliot leaves the jungle due to some chain of events and happened to meet Boog who was enjoying his lavish lifestyle in the town. Both return to the jungle in Open Season (PSP) after some undesired occurrences, and open season begins shortly thereafter. After this the whole struggling scenario begins where Boog and Elliot are appointed to defend the native animals from the cruel hunters.
Every time Boog and Elliot encounter any hunters, the hunters always try to shoot them. While controlling both Boog and Elliot you have to be very careful as there is so much to keep track of. If you’re playing as Boog then you get an opportunity to roar at hunters and utilise other animals as your minions and soldiers. Elliot can also be used as a baseball bat or as a projectile. This whole 3D world is interconnected, and it will always point the player into the correct path. The world is actually categorised into six main areas that are further chopped off into smaller sections. So if you were fans of the movie then you will undoubtedly love the game.
