Another great title for you to revisit the 80’s is the Capcom Classic Collection Reloaded. The Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded is a 19 game port, with some of the old Capcom classics. One could call this an upgraded version of the Capcom Classics Collection Remixed.
The PS2 version of this omnibus got a well-appreciated nod from Yoshiki Okamoto, the creator of most of these titles, and Okamoto’s titles contribute greatly to the success of the series. Some of his games are considered true legends, like the 1942, 1943 and 1943 Kai are some of the best shooters of their time.
Let’s not forget Pirate Ship Higemaru, which is basically a renewed, addictive version of the SEGA Pengo. I don’t even have to tell you about Street Fighter II included in the Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded edition, as it is probably one of the best game series of all time. For those true fans out there, you’ll be happy to know that Street Fighter II isn’t alone, but is accompanied by two other versions, namely the Champion Edition and the Hyper Fighting version.
The rest of the collection also has some great titles, such as Ghouls ‘n Goblins and Gun Smoke. Games like Mercs and Commando add to the fun. Games like Volgus and Son Son don’t quite match up to the others but are still fun to play from time to time.
There were some drops made to the game list too… four to be precise. The collection doesn’t have Trojan, Section Z, Final Fight and Forgotten Worlds, which are instead replaced by some PSP exclusive additions, King of Dragons, Eco Fighters, and Knights of the Round.
Knights of the round can be called one of the coolest games in the collection. It is a side scrolling hack n’ slash, and one of the first games that upgrades characters based on experience points.
Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded is great because it offers so many features that others don’t and it has some great hardcore settings for the hardcore gamers to experience the best of each game. Old school gamers will find this game to be way better than it’s predecessor in terms of list of games, and in general, with menus and the works.

The video game revolution started with classic games like Battlezone, Pong, Centipede, etc. Atari, as one of the forerunners and pioneers of video games, brings back these timeless classics to a contemporary setting. Atari Classics evolved is a collection of classic two dimensional classic games.
You now have the option of playing these classic games on your PSP wherever you go offering you unlimited enjoyment. There is also a Retro Atari Classics Nintendo DS version, as well, as people for all platforms long to replay these classics. These games can be played both as a retro experience or with modern graphics which means you can play them in the classic mode or the evolved form.
Unending gaming with interesting options is made available as you unlock at least 50 of the Atari 2600 titles. In the game Asteroids, flying saucers shoot you and you are required to be quick and nimble in shooting them before they get you. Released in the year 1979, Asteroids was one of the super hit games in the United States. A sequel to this game was released in the year 1980 known as the Asteroid Deluxe.
Battlezone is an exciting war game where you destroy tanks of the enemies by firing at them as you go around the battlefield in your tank. This game was released in the year 1980 and is one of the first ever “virtual reality” games.
Centipede, released in the year 1980, is another interesting game from Atari. Here you try to destroy all segments of the centipede before it reaches the bottom of the garden and get you.
The first ever carbon conscious game, Lunar Lander was released in 1979. Using minimal fuel, you try to land on the moonscape with its craggy surface from your craft.
The year 1982 saw the release of a sequel to Centipede called the Millipede. In this exciting game, you have to shoot the nasties in the garden even as you get away from the Millipede!
Exciting action and exhilarating experiences are provided in the Missile Command where you defend cities and prevent your missile from being taken over by nukes.
Pong is a classic that never ceases to amaze. This game which was released in the year 1972 is also a part of the Atari Classics evolved collection.

SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 is the next compilation title from SNK. They seem to be throwing out a lot of compilations off late, bringing old arcade gaming classics to modern gamers worldwide.
Sixteen of the old SKN arcade favorites are compiled into a single UMD for use on the PlayStation Portable. With sixteen games on a single UMD, you’re basically only paying a little less than two dollars for a great old time arcade game.
A simple menu, somewhat retro based helps you choose which game you’re going to play from an alphabetically organized menu, and gives you some more basic information on the title such as genre, year of release, number of players, etc.
For those who want specific details, the game list includes Shock Troopers, World Heroes, King of fighters ’94, Last Resort, Sengoku, Baseball Stars 2, Art of Fighting, King of Monsters, Top Hunter, Fatal Fury, Burning Fight, Neo Turf Masters, Super Sidekicks 3, Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown and Magician Lord.
Another added ‘attraction’ is the addition of goals to complete for each game. Goals can be accomplished through straightforward tasks such as completing a game on a certain difficulty level, and completing goals can unlock a wide range of goodies, such as artwork for other games in the collection, or unlocking move lists for fighting games.
Multiplayer over a wireless connection is quite fun to play, as almost all titles connect seamlessly over a wireless connection to other PSPs, although the Two player mode for these classics were a smoother version than the multiplayer mode, and probably a better choice.
Single player game play is unbeatable, and it lets you enjoy every bit of the old arcade experience right at your fingertips. Games like Baseball Stars 2, Neo Turf Masters, Last Resort and Top Hunter provide an exceedingly simple yet amazingly entertaining game play experience, provided you enjoy playing old time classic arcade games.
One of the best features of the title is the diversity of games. It has at least one of each great genre, such as fighting, sports, side-scrollers, and what not. SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 PSP is a must have for those who missed out on the Neo Geo era of gaming, and all the classic arcade games that came with it.
