FIFA 10 (PSP): This Edition promises better A.I., better Game Mechanics and more Action

Posted on Aug 10, 2009 05:29:28 PM

Unleash the Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ribery in you through the latest FIFA 10 (PSP) for your Sony PlayStation Portable. The game is a highly developed presentation of modern day soccer and has an electric interface. In a market where sports games are losing their reputation for being low on originality and content and high on charade and mindless graphics, FIFA 10 (PSP) for the PSP comes across as a pleasant revelation where the plot of the game has been given prime importance. The FIFA game has been approached in a very unique way and not that conventional kick-the-ball-and-pass manner. The gamer can play in the automated mode where the ball keeps getting switched to the nearest ball carrier with a lot of accuracy.

The A.I. has been made more aggressive in interception of passes. Since this feature has been implemented, players give a very realistic outlook instead of seeming to be completely unreal. The free kicks are fun to score and the penalties are well……as good as they can be. The gamer will not stop kicking the ball and making the players loitering around the field. The FIFA 10 (PSP) game is a good buy and is ideal to be played on the Sony PSP where the controls are also favourable. It is way better than the other mindless sports games and has a lot of substance in it which will captivate the attention of the gamer. Get the copy for your PSP and play it till you conquer all the levels. The experience is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

The Sims 2: Pets available on the handheld PSP

Posted on Dec 16, 2008 10:38:21 AM

Sims 2 enthusiasts are sure delighted with the announcement of the release of its expansion Sims 2 Pets by EA. Sure to be a repeat of a standalone Sims 2 version, there are a few impressions that has trickled in regarding the features of this most expected release.

In this game, you do not get to control the pets directly. As with the previous games, you effectively manipulate human Sim character lives. The Sims 2 - Pets starts off on a different tone putting you on an exciting track. As a player you first scan a community, analyze and decide on how you want to play. You have the option of choosing an empty lot to build from scratch or play with an already existing family-in-progress. You then go on to create your pets with the help of the pet creation system.

After selecting your set of loyal pals from a choice of over forty pure breeds of dogs and cats, you can mess around with them to your heart’s content, including mixing, blending and swapping them. At the onset, of course, you choose the gender just like in the subsequent game Sims 3 for the PC. Then you go on to shape the body of the pet by defining the color, fashion, head, name and personality. This should be the most interesting part of the game, especially for a Sim fan.

Traits can be defined with the help of a wide range of options. With the help of a tab called “fashion” you can choose from a range of shoes, bandanas and collars for your pet. Your creation can be morphed in size and shape with the help of the head and body tabs. Personality can be defined with qualities like hyper, lazy, nice, snooty, doofus, smart, chill, aggressive, etc. After you are satisfied with your pet, you actually start playing the game.

Along with the human Sims as in the originals, here you are required to keep track of the needs of your pets too. You will even have to monitor their chewing and scratching traits as ignoring this will lead to a devastation of your flower garden or expensive furniture. PSP version allows you to take your pet shopping to the town square to purchase stuff like toys, food, etc in three prominent shops namely pet emporium, toy store and a bakery.

NASCAR: More than just another racing Game

Posted on Nov 28, 2008 02:33:38 PM

The exciting game of NASCAR is not just another racing game, but provides the player with a lot of different features. There are atleast 43 drivers on the track which provides for a lot of fun and entertainment. There are a whole lot of unlicensed and licensed tracks featuring in this game. Challenges offered are thrilling and speedzones actually provide the gamer with a lot of enjoyment.

However, the only thing disappointing for fans is the absence of several prominent drivers and online multi sharing mode. NASCAR developed by Electronic Arts for PSP is the first of its kind. The variety of events featured in this game adds to the fun and the fact that you can save midrace makes this game even better and enjoyable.

If a quick spin is all you want, you will do well to try those single races or dodge challenges. With the help of these challenges which are short and enjoyable, you can avoid wrecks while charging drivers and also win a losing race and create history. With the help of the pseudo training provided in speedzone, you can practice passing and blocking basics. Once you are well equipped with your skills, you can participate in more than ten season races in the season mode and chase the cup.

Career mode features most of the gameplay which is also referred to aptly as the fight to the top. You are an unknown driver here. You work hard and move up to the Craftsmen trucks from the modified series, move on to the NBS and eventually reach the Nextel. With a solid concept like this and a moderately satisfying execution, though a little lackluster, you may find reaching the Nextel is a bit tedious.
