The PSP Go is the recent development in the handheld gaming industry. It can also be defined as an advanced version of PlayStation Portable. It is a very advanced gaming console and will take handheld gaming to the next level. Some of the best PSP Go games available in the market include Gran Turismo 2009, Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars, Tekken 6, and FIFA Soccer 10. The game Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars is based on the traditional third person action format. This game is specifically developed for PSP platform and has upscale graphics. This game includes all new storylines and missions which would keep you glued to the handheld gaming console.
You can easily change camera angles and have a clear view. The game is full of action and will take your breath away. On the other hand, if you are a fan of sports games, specifically football, then look no further than the much beloved FIFA 10 PSP game. Whilst some thought it wouldn’t be possible to improve on the last FIFA game, FIFA 10 manages to set new standards in realistic gameplay and intense football action. Best of all, the PSP version contains very few cutbacks from its next-gen cousin PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 cousins. Though we hesitate to call it the game of the year, calling FIFA 10 the football game of the year is an easy decision.
If you love fighting games then Tekken 6 is what you are looking for. The game includes various new characters and the old ones as well. This game is specially developed for PSP Go and will offer a spectacular virtual fighting experience.

Buzz is one of the most popular games in the UK. The game which is aimed at testing the general and national knowledge of its players has been revamped again, though special emphasis is laid on Australia as a nation and the trivia that is related to Australia. The highly annoying yet popular animated character, Buzz seems to have swapped his trademark suits for a lab coat and a clipboard in this current version.
Developed by Nintendo DS, the Buzz! Brain of the UK (PSP) seeks to question its players on everything under the sun which make UK a great nation. The question could be from the field of movies, music, sports, trivia and other categories. Buzz! Brain of the UK (PSP) can be best defined as a portable quiz bonanza which stores thousands of questions in its kitty. The good thing about the game is that there are a number of challenging puzzles which are bound to keep the players engaged for a substantial period of time.
All the puzzles have up to three levels of difficulty. Moreover, the enhanced graphics and nice presentation cannot go uncredited. The not so-good features of this game have to be overly annoying Buzz and the 24/7 available game concept. The option of testing oneself whenever one needs devalues the game. The game challenges its players to improve their mental strength and ability over a certain period of time. The game tests the efficiency of the players both on the time limit and the number of questions which they can get right.

It is a well-known phenomenon in the gaming industry to develop video games based on celebrated movies. “Scarface: Money. Power. Respect.” is a great example of such a game that has originated from a popular movie. Although the movie was released a long time back, it is still remembered and admired for its spectacular portrayal of an out of control drug kingpin. This popularity has inspired the development of this turn-based strategy game for the PlayStation Portable.
As stirred from the film’s theme, the game revolves around managing a drug dealer’s business. The gameplay is simple and easy to follow, but still very engaging and entertaining. You have to use your brains to manage an illegal business activity, which can provide a change from the standard affairs of defeating monsters or evil spirits. While Scarface titles on the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC all continued the Scarface storyline and saga, the PSP version does no such thing. Hence, you will be disappointed if you are expecting to play as a reincarnated Tony Montana. In fact, the PSP version of Scarface is not attached with the story very much; instead it offers more strategy based options to enhance the playability.
If you choose a single-player game, you will get a choice to play a sequence of 10 scenes or a cartel challenge. In the case of the movie scenes, you will be given a set of objectives for each scene, which is actually a clip from the movie. The main objectives in Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. typically revolve around eliminating a character or defeating a rival, while there may be some additional secondary objectives. To complete your objectives, you will again be given a particular task like winning battles, earning a particular sum of money or even capturing the stated territories.
If the cartel challenge is your choice over the movie scenes, you will get to choose the desired cartel. From the three game modes in the cartel challenge, the race to a fortune requires first player to earn a set sum of money. In a fight to the finish, a player can continue playing till all cartels except one have eliminated from the scene. In the third mode, which is named as drug war, there are certain rounds to be conquered.

Sony Computer Entertainment America has just announced that the new updated firmware for the PlayStation Portable will be launched this month. PSP fans will receive the firmware version 5.0., and PlayStation 3 fans will also be glad since they will be getting an update as well. The new PSP firmware 5.0 will allow PSP users to connect directly to the PlayStation Store, and then purchase and download a wide selection of media, including movies, games and demos. There is no need to transfer that data through the PlayStation 3 or PC either.
The new firmware offer many advantages to PSP users. Sony Entertainment has already increased the amount of downloadable PSP games and movies. A report from UK consumer website CVG reveals that the Sony Entertainment Japan will release all of its future UMD games as PS Store downloads. The first title to make the online debut will be ‘Destroy All Heroes 2’.
The firmware version 5.0 includes an onscreen QWERTY keyboard which makes web browsing much easier. In addition to that, it also contains a sleep timer, which can be used for shutting off the PSP during musical playback. The video out functionality has also improved a lot, supports interlace displays and allows classic PlayStation titles to play at full-screen size on the TV. The quality of the official headsets has improved as well. They feature a high quality mode, which, when activated, delivers clear and wide-band wireless voice communication.
According to Peter Dille, SCEA’s PlayStation Network Marketing SVP, ”These firmware updates keep both PS3 and PSP in lockstep with consumer expectations for gaming and entertainment, particularly the ability to download PSP games on-the-go, which is a functionality we know consumers can’t wait to get their hands on. As we approach our second anniversary with Sony PlayStation 3, it’s remarkable to look back at how much the system has evolved and improved, including its critical link to PSP that effectively extends these entertainment capabilities beyond the home.”

The famous Capcom Co. Ltd. game developing and publishing company based in Japan has carved a niche for itself in the field of video games. Founded in 1979 with the name of Japan Capsule Computers, the firm has devoted its services to the development of video games and other electronic machines.
In the past few years, Capcom has created some video games which have been some of the highest selling and longest running titles in history. Games like Street Fighter, Mega Man and Resident Evil have all been gigantic hits on either Nintendo or PlayStation consoles. Some of these successful titles have even made their way to the PSP, such as MegaMan Maverick Hunter X (PSP). Following the success of the game Resident Evil, a motion picture was made with the same name which was followed by two sequels. Capcom went into partnership with Microsoft to make the game Dead Rising, exclusively for the latter’s brainchild, the Xbox 360.
Caption Commando is the original mascot of Capcom who dons a futuristic armor of an untraced origin. His name has played a very instrumental part in the derivation of the CapCom. He has made several appearances in manuals and on the back covers of the early NES games released by the company. Many storylines prepared by the firm have included Captain Commando. But of late, Mega Man has been given the torch of being the company’s official mascot because of the popularity of the character.
The game developing department of CapCom is headed by the CapCom Production Studio. The company also owns other subsidiaries and related corporations like CapCom USA Inc., CapCom Studio 8, CapCom Asia Co., which are located in parts of America, South Asia, Europe and Australia.
The reputation that precedes the company ensures that it gets good coverage from the media whenever it is about to release a game. Many games developed by CapCom have actually been made into feature films, including both Street Fighter and Resident Evil. Devil May Cry and Clock Tower are two other CapCom games that are in the process of being converted into movies.

To excel in Poker, you need to have luck on your side along with skill. The game is very unpredictable as anyone can be victorious with any given hand of cards. Even if a player is completely down and out in the game, he/she can still come back and score an upset with the help of a great bluff or substantial draw. One needs a certain kind of temperament to play the game, as in many cases, the stakes are very high. Emotions are strictly forbidden while one plays the game, as the opponent might sense what kind of hand you have.
Now all this can be experienced on your PSP as Activision brings you World Series of Poker, a game specially designed for the PSP. Since a game on poker is the complete opposite of real-life poker, good presentation is half the battle won. This is where World Series of Poker 2008 (PSP) scores amongst poker lovers, because the graphics are excellent and practically make the player feel as if he was sitting in a casino. Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure online play make the game more intense and realistic.
The game starts as a group of players assemble together who seek to change their fortunes with every player hoping to take all the money home. The gamer might play a high-card and might claim a very high raise to continue his stay in the hand. Then the player who might be leading may call a very large raise for an inside straight draw. Then during the course of the game, the opponent might tell the gamer to check and even the two of them might even split the pot as the aces and kings might not be of any use when shown on the table.
The game keeps the interest alive until a clear winner is declared. A good take on the sport played in real-life, this PSP game does a great job of portraying the card game as it really is. It is a must buy for all the poker freaks.
