Ever dreamt of getting your head ripped off even in your worst nightmares? Video game developers Vicious Cycle have made a game which might bring that nightmare to life exclusively on your PSP. How would you define a game where the gamer wakes up without his head and has to use the heads of his enemies as replacements? The answer to that is the name of the game itself, Dead Head Fred.
The game has been designed with lots of dry, hard, sarcastic and raunchy humor and is strictly for those who are not allergic to violence and bloodshed. The game starts off as the hero of the game portrayed by the gamer, Fred, a professional private investigator working on an assignment in the town named Hope Falls, gets his head ripped off. He has to confront the boss of a ruthless gang named Pitt who has taken over the town and is terrorizing its residents. He has also constructed a nuclear plant and starts spreading toxic waste across town.
Now this nuclear waste gives birth to deadly zombies and hideous mutants who start wrecking havoc all over the place. In Dead Head Fred it is up to the gamer to be the savior of the town and stop the dangerous Pitt. Fred has just been resurrected and is not able to remember anything from the past. He holds a jar in which a brain is kept and sets out on a mission for vendetta.
You get the chance to tear your enemy’s head off his body and use it as your own. For each head that the gamer rips off, he gets some special abilities. There are a total of 9 heads which can be torn apart. An enemy’s head can be torn by pressing the triangle and then pressing the three buttons in the right order. The game is a dark sadistic game with challenging levels and can get really dark at times in terms of some action. The game is recommended only for those who have a heart to go through all the tormenting action and love to see blood.

Ready at Dawn, a relatively unknown game developing company has come out with its latest gaming venture God of War: Chains of Olympus. A complete thriller, full of deadly action and exhilarating adventure specifically targeted at hardcore action enthusiasts, God of War is a slick game exclusively developed for the PlayStation Portable System. The game is the third in the God of War franchise and is basically a prequel to the original game. It is second in the line for Ready at Dawn after Daxter, which was a runway hit and received critical acclaim, also designed for the PSP system.
It specializes in violence, slashing, ruthlessness and the enemy death scenes are especially violent, gory and sometimes somewhat overboard. The Blades of Chaos is the main weapon of the protagonist, Kratos, and was given to him by Ares. Along with that, he also has the Sun Shield, which protects him from all the enemy attacks and also helps him in deflecting back the maneuvers of foes. Kratos is truly the model warrior and the addition of Magical spells (namely the Efreet Spell and the Light of Dawn) at his disposal only increases his power.
From the word go, the gamer will find himself in the middle of an intense battle zone where the player must defend the city of Attica and also confront the mammoth Basilisk, a tyrannical beast released by the Persian force to take on the city. The attention on the action keeps the gamer busy and the combat sequences are simply phenomenal. It caters to all the extreme expectations that a quintessential action loving gamer expects of one. From a visual perspective, God of War: Chains of Olympus stands head and shoulders above all the recent games that have been out in the market. The game delivers in all aspects related to violence and terror and will make all the gamers crave for more. Verdict: The Game delivers and creates an unforgettable gaming experience.
