The story starts with the character talking to the village head. The players have to buy weapons and other upgrades from the shops in the village. Only after all these process the quest begins.

There are two categories in the ‘Quest in Freedom’ of which the first one is the hunting quest. In the hunting quest, the players have to look for beasts in the countryside and hunt them down. The entire process Monster Hunter: Freedom is thrilling and the players have a lot of beasts to hunt. Different strategies are involved in killing the beasts and the greatest quests of the players are finding these strategies. The players should be equipped with the armors and weapons needed to bring down the beasts. The trap for the animals must be well laid and executed. These features spicy up the game and increase the fun factor encircling it. Some of the strategies are complex to execute and some simple. The complex plots may take some half an hour from you but may fail to give the desired result. The second quest is the gathering quest, where the players have to collect certain items and bring them back to them.

If you are tired of all the hunting and gathering you can go back to the village and do some farming. This is an interesting feature and cures your boredom. You can also try other mini-games like mining, fishing, etc to keep yourself occupied. There are some cats that you can hire to cook some delicious dishes for you. You can increase your power depending on the meals they cooked. Some cats even provide information about the outside world which is very helpful. The most wonderful feature about this game is the multiplayer mode where as many as four players can play. Enjoy playing Monster Hunter Freedom.

Go on a wild African Safari on your PSP

Posted on Jul 29, 2008 01:33:59 PM

Ever dreamt of going on an adventurous safari? Ever dreamt of seeing wild animals up close? Ever thought of walking in jungles while snakes keep crawling all around the trees staring at you? Well, you can certainly experience that virtually with a new game for the PSP.

Cabela’s African Safari succeeds in giving you a wild African experience. The game takes a person to five different countries where the player gets the opportunity of a lifetime to have a close look at the way the fauna survives. One of the best experiences offered to the player is when you start hunting down geese, as they fly in all directions and you have to trail them through the huge grass. The gamer gets a few minutes in each country to judge how many birds he can target. The game features track radar which is of great help in hunting down the animals, as the gamer has to spot the green dot and fire.

There are times when the animals hunt down the hunters. To prevent this, the gamer can use the “adrenaline mode” which slows down the time thus giving the gamer enough time to position the hand cannon at the target and take it down. The presentation of the game is such that one really enjoys hunting and the graphics used in the game bring the adventurous safari to life. Cabela’s African Safari is also available for the Xbox 360, and although the PSP edition’s graphics aren’t quite up to par with the Xbox 360 version, the game still manages to look excellent visually. Credit has to be given to all the sound designers as the sounds of gunshots and animals writhing in pain make for an exhilarating outing. The variety shown in the hunting sequences and the option to replay all the tough challenges make the game interesting. All these features manage to leave a lasting impression on the gamer.

The hunt sequences have been given an average duration which makes them look neither too short nor very long. The game generates true African ambience which refreshingly gives it a real look. So if you are planning to bring out that wild side, then this is the game to check out.
