Sony Playstation portable is one of the swankiest hand-helds in the market today that is not only a nifty game player, but can also play movies, music and allow you to store and view photographs. There have been reports of innumerable Homebrew games and software that can be used for a range of functionalities that haven’t been discovered before.

It would also be exciting to note that although most portable game systems generally don’t offer many online features as regular console systems do, the PSP offers a spectacular range of online entertainment too. Think of it as a divide that can almost multi-function like almost every other device – from a simple game player to even a sophisticated VoIP calling device using skype apart from the usual like checking email and browsing your favorite sites. Censoring Games Isn’t Going To Make Your Son A Good Boy:

Many a son would love to spend time playing those scores on his favorite PSP, but then if you were a parent, you would certainly be worried about what he is really doing using that nifty device which not only has game plays but also has the ability to play movies, music and even browse the net. While it would be ideal to see your son play something innocent, like Patapon, it isn’t going to happen. There are chances that your son is watching porn the Internet browser — remember, the information at fingertips?

Censorit, a new service which is very inexpensive is reported to solve your problem of watching over your back al the time to see what your kids are up to. It basically installs a proxy client on the handheld that will block and monitor internet access on the PSP. If your kid tries to circumvent the censor, PSP’s built-in parental controls will stop him. If he manages to outwit the parental controls, you can see when the censor becomes de-active. However, there is an iota of doubt here as to its efficacy. What good can a censor on PSP do, If Internet can be browsed from anywhere?
