BEN 10: the Adventures of Ben Tennyson

Posted on Sep 5, 2008 03:39:22 PM

Ben 10 is a game based on the adventures of a 10 year old boy named Ben Tennyson, who is tasked with saving the world. He discovers this strange alien wrist watch ‘omnitrix’ that helps him to transform into heroic alien forms with unique and extraordinary abilities. The evil Vilgax, with the help of the Forever Knights and Kevin 11, are making all also trying to gain control of this wristwatch, omnitrix, which is endangering the world in the process.

Ben looks like an ordinary 10 year old at first glance, but in the game he is the guardian of earth from all the evil forces. This game depicts all the characters including Ben from the famous and adventurous TV series. This game includes thrilling action sequences, but is especially designed for children.

Because the game is made for kids, the action moves have been kept quite simple. There are basically three kinds of attacks: light, heavy and special attacks. However, all of these are unique for each character. Ben 10 - Protector of Earth is mostly focused on action, though certain puzzles also included. There are more than fourteen levels in the game all depicting the problems that Ben faces in his mission to save the world. When you defeat the enemies during the game you get pickups which will enhance or amplify Ben’s powers, and allow him to stay in that alien form for a longer time.

In the game the player guides Ben in his adventures when he is on vacation with his family. Whenever Ben transforms into any alien form, the wristwatch Omnitrix will start draining out its energy very fast. Once that is done, Ben will get back to his normal human form, where he can fight, but is more vulnerable or susceptible to attacks. Therefore, the watch should be used only when required.

Ben 10, the Protector of Earth is targeted more to kids. But this action packed game has been quite successful in spreading its charm on some older people too. The feature of two-player cooperative mode also adds a little extra fun to the game.
