Gangs of London (Platinum) (PSP): No GTA, but still quite Fun at Times

Posted on Jul 1, 2009 09:56:12 AM

The Gangs of London (Platinum) (PSP) is an action game with a criminal theme that has been designed for the Sony Playstation Portable. The gameplay has been kept strong and the use of graphics and animation has been exemplary. The London underworld comes to life in the Gangs of London (Platinum) (PSP) and the story missions will not let you get up from your seat. There are bonus missions that offer a lot of incentives and all the action can be witnessed in the story mode, which can also be touted as the backbone of the PSP game. The gamer starts as the proprietor of one of the five available gangs and runs riot throughout the city. The main motive of the game is to establish monopoly on the sites controlled by rival gangs and this task is carried out by a series of missions.

Once all these missions are completed, the targeted area will have a leader who has to be taken on and defeated, post which the area will come under the gamer’s jurisdiction; essentially quite similar to Grand Theft Auto. There are comical situations where the gamer drives the car and chases someone and in the next sequence, he drives and is being chased. The available artillery is to be used on the bad guys. Driving needs to be done properly as you might inadvertently run over pedestrians. The Gangs of London (Platinum) (PSP) game is good for those who are are fans of fast-paced thrillers. The action is good and so is the storyline. It is a worthy purchase and will give the buyer value for money.
