You can use more than one path to achieve your goals with the help of the gameplay which is non-linear. SpongeBob’s charm adds to the enjoyment. Each stage takes you to new areas including SpongeBob’s house, the downtown district restaurant, etc. 3D movement adds to the excitement during navigation.

There are various tasks given to SpongeBob to complete as he runs across these locations. Certain areas in Spongebob Squarepants - the Yellow Avenger are not accessible and SpongeBob has to acquire super powers to overcome these obstacles. There is added excitement in the form of the engaging Boss fights. You have to skilful enough to figure out patterns of using the super powers as well as identify and exploit weaknesses.

Indoor resembles adventure classic games as SpongeBob goes around exploring. Players are instructed through blocks of text both at the beginning and end of the missions. One feature that could have added to the excitement if included is the voice acting. As SpongeBob is injured and comes flying at the screen open mouthed, the scenario borders on the odd with no sound effects.

As a player, you go around performing tasks as you are, at all stages, aware of what you must do next, which is basically all about helping SpongeBob around with his various tasks. Though not a seat edge thriller, this casual and leisurely game is ideal to just relax and play on the PSP.

Telly Addicts for the PSP

Posted on Nov 19, 2008 01:52:12 PM

The shows that are aired on television are so magnetizing that people like to have the elements of their favorite shows in all forms of media. The show ‘Telly Addicts’ is one of the most successful shows of its time. It was a reality game show which was on telecast in BBC1. The show was hosted by Noel Edmonds and the first show was screened in the television on 3 September 1985. The show had two teams, who are supposed to answer the questions asked by the host. The questions in the show were based on television shows of the present and the past.

The success of this show gave ideas to the producers to come with a game exactly similar to the show. The game ‘Telly Addicts’ was launched for the Nintendo DS initially. The game was quite similar to that of the original game show. The Telly Addicts PSP version of the game includes the host Noel Edmonds asking questions to the players. The questions asked in the game are usually based on television shows like in the original show. However, the questions might also require some general knowledge to get to the right answer. The game advances through various levels by eliminating the teams one by one. The game could be pictured as a knock-out tournament. Initially there will be 16 teams with two members each. The victory in each level ensures the advancement of the team to the next level.

The game is found interesting only by a handful of users. This is because it is imperative that the answers for the questions have to be revealed. Once the answer to a question is revealed, the answer is a confirmed one during the next occurrence of the question. However efficient the programming may be, there are always good chances for the questions to repeat over and again. This reduces the complexity of the game and offered almost no levels of difficulty to the experts. The Telly Addicts could be a good game for initial play, but would not hold the interest of the player for long.
