Everybody’s Golf offers some Competition to Tiger Woods

Posted on May 10, 2009 04:11:45 PM

Everybody’s Golf poses a stiff competition to EA’s Tiger Woods. It looks like Everybody’s Golf has surprised many gamers but turning out to be the better of the two. The reason for this game turning a winner is because of the game control method. It uses a control that ensures all shots turn out the way the player wants. Everybody’s Golf is truly a fun golf game that will keep players engrossed for long hours.

As you are not offered any caddy tips, putting is not very easy. As with real golf you have to read the green and putt precisely. Background audio adds to the excitement. Music is exciting and fun. The sound of wind and other natural elements are realistic and entertaining.

The controls of Everybody’s golf are simple to use. Zooming in and out has been made easy and players can use various button combinations and directional passes so they can get that extra spin, lift and more power. It is also possible to pan across and have a good overhead view of the course. The ball moves precisely in the direction that you want it to.

There are three different options to play the game which are the single round, challenge mode and multiplayer mode. In the single round, players get to play through an unlocked course with a character of their choice, while in the challenge mode you get to play against opponents where the surprise elements are new characters, accessories, outfits, clubs and courses. The PlayStation Portable game in challenge mode is truly interesting. The tournament mode will provide players with tournament points for their best shots.

The character you choose can be customized as you progress through the game after having won various accessories. Loyalty points are awarded if you stick to a single character. Everybody’s Golf has a good presentation and the music is excellent with great sound effects. This game is a sure winner. The only drawback is the fact that it is possible to play only multiplayer game with players nearby with their own PSP. Otherwise, Everybody’s Golf is by far one of the best golf games on the PSP.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

Posted on Nov 18, 2008 04:10:30 PM

The Tiger Woods PGA Tour has been the favorite of golfers who prefer not to play on the field. The game was launched for the PSPs with many new features. Though the advancements were not much major, it created a considerable attraction towards the gamers. The features were precisely stitched for the PSP, and so it eliminated the itches that were on the Playstation 2 version. This version of the game for PSPs is considered almost flawless.

The feature that is considered to be the most attractive is the FedEXCup Championship. The Playstation version of the game had this championship directly tied to the PGA Tour calendar. That made the championship quite inconsiderate. Importance is given to the FedEXCup because it is more challenging. The player should rack up a bunch of high finishes over a season to qualify for the event. This makes the tournament more elite than the normal weekend qualifier.

A significant addition to the game comes in the form of Short difference and Risk meters. These meters can have a great impact on the skills of the player, both on overall and hole-by-hole basis. If the player has made a perfect shot in the previous hole and has done well, the confidence will be higher and he will be more likely to nail a perfect shot next time. There are many modes of games available for practice too. These range from a shoe-scrubbing game, a ball washing game or a game where the player should clear leaves and rocks around the cup.

The Shot Confidence meter is accompanied by a Risk meter. If the shot is more straight-forward the shot, the lower the risk will be. As the player advances through Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2008, his skills will improve and the confidence meter would rise up. At this point, one could be an expert in placing the shots. However, the Risk meter should be at watch throughout the game. If a bad shot is taken and the risk meter shoots up, it could make the tricky shots more difficult. With a handful of new features, the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 is sure to give a great golfing experience on the PSP.

Enjoy the Rich Man’s Game with Hot Shot Golf: Open Tee 2

Posted on Jun 24, 2008 11:31:11 AM

Whenever we think about the most renowned sport in the gaming world, the first name, which clicks our mind, is naturally the Golf oriented titles. Well, maybe not, but there are certainly plenty of successful golf games spanning every gaming console, including the PSP. And now it seems one of the most successful has just gotten a sequel.

All gamers have experienced several Golf games but no one can ever forget Tiger Woods PGA Tour (PSP) or the Hot Shot series. Both are exceptional in their own way. And now all the PSP owners should prepare themselves to enjoy a joy ride again with Hot Shot Golf: Open Tee 2.

This new and upgraded version contains more funky graphics with richer colors that help to enhance the surroundings. The music is superb and goes extremely well with every situation. Now let’s discuss the title by breaking the excitement level. The game will introduce two cute looking initial characters (a male and a female) out of which you have to pick one.

A Gamer can play in two distinct modes (match mode and tournament mode). In the tournament mode you have to compete with computerized characters including a 9 hole course. Whereas in a golf match, you can outplay an opponent in 9 holes or win three holes to win the event. If you defeat a player several times, they will become a selectable character, while by playing as the same character your innate capabilities will enhance. One can find the hidden item in the bush or somewhere else by viewing the land through flight camera.

Another eye-catching phase in the game appears after the completion of an event. The phase is eye catching because one can view nice and beautiful nature scenes. It really does the PSP credit, and easily offers a comparable gaming experience to anything offered on the laptop or computer. The game is surely an upgraded version as compared to its predecessors and one can notice it while playing. So this is definitely a recommended title to everyone holding a PSP. As games of this kind don’t come around often enough.
