PSP Version 3.95 has following updates:

• Game playing Format software-You can select [custom] for the assignment pattern under [Assign buttons].This option lets you assign buttons according to your requirement.
• Quit remote play- to quickly turn off the PSP.
• Skype is an application that lets you make free calls over the Internet to anyone else using Skype.
  Internet Radio- this allows you to choose thousands radio stations in a wide range of genre from pop, rock, etc. You can share your favorite stations with your friends as well.

Requirements for Internet radio:

1. PSP-1000 or PSP 2000 system
2. Wireless internet connection environment
3. Memory stick Duo™ on which internet radio application is saved.
4. PSP headphones with remote control

You can access all these new features after upgrading your older versions to this new version 3.95. Here some ways to update your PSP:

• Update using PC-Download the update data to a PC and then save it on your Memory stick. Start the saved update data on your PSP system to perform the update.
• Network update-Use the PSP system’s network update feature to update.
• Update using UMD™ - Use the data include on a universal media disc to perform the update.

The features released with System software version 3.95 are as follows:-

• Support for PLAYSTATION® Network titles is greatly enhanced in 3.95
• Under Controller settings we can put Assign Buttons to Custom mode also.
• We now have the options of quitting and turning off the PS3 System directly or Quitting without turning off the PS3 system from the Quit remote Play.

In 2000 series there a feature named Skype which is really cool! With Skype application you can make calls over the internet anywhere in the world to a person who is also using Skype without a penny! Though for making and receiving calls to any other phone you need SkypeOut, which is a paid facility. And in some cases voicemail is also a paid feature.

There are some limitations too of this Skype feature:-

• We need a Memory Stick Duo with at least a free space of 1 MB.
