There was quite a delay in seeing this one fructify but this is by far one of the coolest things you could do with a PSP. How would like the idea of talking to anyone in the world PSP? That is very much possible using Skype – see what has become of the world today – it is not just at the fingertips, is it?

According to Buy.com, which lists a “Skype Headset” which is an official release and can making talking to anyone a breeze,

“ PSP users worldwide will be able to start using Skype features and services through a simple system software update scheduled in late January. After updating the PSP system software, a Skype icon will be added to the Network category in the home menu. PSP users who do not yet have a Skype username can register by clicking the icon and following the instructions. PSP users who already have a Skype username can immediately sign in by clicking the Skype icon and entering their username and password.

Requirements for Skype on PSP System:
· PSP-2000 system
· PSP Headset
· PSP Headphones with Remote Control
· Wireless Internet connection environment (Wi-Fi)
· Memory Stick Duo on which Skype application software is saved
· Firmware 3.90 (or later)

Retailing for about $20, this is one accessory you should grab immediately because little did you know that you could now officially any thing with your PSP, including use it like a mobile phone, better still, a VoIP phone – haven’t you gone global now?
