Super Collapse! 3 is the latest installment from the popular franchise by the same name, Super Collapse. The game, which has its roots on the web, is similar to other click-based puzzlers such as Bejeweled and Panel De Pon, as far as its basic design is concerned. You will find lines of multicolored squares constantly pushing up from the bottom of the screen. Your job is basically to click on clusters of three or more of the same color and make them disappear using a pointer. The rest of the pile then automatically falls into place. It is easily comprehensible that, the greater the cluster, the more points you stand to accumulate by popping them. The strategy therefore should be to ensure that a greater number of squares of the same color fall next to one another. That way you have a great chance of progressing through the game’s challenging levels. The game’s presentation is decent enough and has quite a few utilitarian values. The play field is surrounded by beautiful landscapes depicting green fields and snowy hills, but the actual play field itself consists of a big black box full of colored squares. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike is not your typical gun trotting game that you usually associate with most of the SOCOM titles. Instead, you get to plan strategies and stealthily maneuver a team of four Navy SEALs through a set of complex levels, which are also surprisingly vast. It is interesting to note, however, that you don’t control the proceedings directly, and instead only issue abstract commands to shoot, snipe, move, and the like. One word that is synonymous with the name Sega Rally Revo is ‘Powersliding’. The years-old franchise’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions had successfully made powersliding an indispensable and trademark part of the game’s overall package. As you are no doubt already well aware, Mega Man Powered Up is a remake and amended version of the legendary and classic Mega Man game. The earlier Mega Man was originally released on the NES, over 20 years ago. The popular Mega Man Maverick Hunter X was actually a redo of the original title with additional playable characters and some shuffled power up locations. Going extra mile is Mega Man: Powered Up, where all the bosses are Unlockable, and most of the core level designs have been revamped with a whole bunch of minigames. Read the rest of this entry »

A game that has withstood the taste of time and is still shining in its full glow is none other then the Final Fantasy series. It really stands apart from all the junk you usually come across and has captivated hordes of gamers from the time it was first launched. The latest episode in this brilliant series is Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions which has done full justice to its predecessors. What sets the game apart from the pretenders is its strong story line, coupled with even more impressive gameplay. You can look forward to some new additions and subtle enhancements in this port, including some terrific cutscenes, new character classes, and new playable characters. Eragon is a classic case of a great concept gone awry due to some glaring technical problems. You reprise the role of Saphira, a dragon whose job is to help the titular hero Eragon fight off enemies who are determined to destroy the world. You will, no doubt, derive immense thrill reprising the role of a dragon as you fly around chomping on goats, dropping boulders on enemy structures, and spitting fire at the enemy. The title already has the tag of being unique and bizarre. While playing Super Monkey Ball Adventure you can draw flimsy comparisons to Marble Madness. Sega surely deserves applause for creating this unconventional harrowing 3D puzzle solving action title. There have been many popular Star Trek games, but the famous science fiction series still hadn’t made its way to the PSP. This all changed with the release of Star Trek: Tactical Assault for our favourite PlayStation Portable handheld console. Many Star trek titles were typically strategy oriented titles but Tactical Assault has breached that mentality. The name Silent Hill depicts a foggy town, walls dripping with blood and cryptic dialogues. Yes, it include all of these aspects. The horror game relies on a franchise hallmark that is already eight years old. Star Ocean: First Departure is an interesting game where you are assigned the responsibility of protecting a small town on the planet Roak. The game surrounds three friends, Roddick Farrence, Millie Chliette, and Dorne Murtough who are shown patrolling the small town of Kratus in the opening sequence set in space. The game literally takes off when a group of bandits invade the town and you have to guide the trio in fending off the culprits. What keeps you engaged in this adventure is that it does not reveal too much of the plot in the beginning; thereby keeping you engrossed in the story throughout the game.
