Napoleon Dynamite is a game based on a film by the same name, released in 2004. The game is a collection of a series of mini games at its core, which can only be described as mediocre at best. The game hardly lives up the level of the original film, and lacks both quality and content. What complicates the matter even more is a story without direction, and a collection of truly some of the most boring and drabbest mini-games you will ever come across. A bunch of memorable lines that are taken from the film are also barely audible due to a lack of proper audio back up system in the game. It thereby gives you a very damp feeling about the entire thing. Read the rest of this entry »

Innovation at its best: Fading Shadows

On your adventure you will not encounter someone like Master Gardal or any of his vile accomplices either. Instead, there is only you, the orb, and the environmental puzzles and hazards provided by each of the game’s levels. Rather, you end up controlling a pillar of light that the orb happens to follow. The orb is significant in the sense that it contains the soul of the boy whose coming was foretold ages ago, and is supposed to save the currently ruined Kingdom. Read the rest of this entry »
