Star Trek: Tactical Assault now for the PSP

Posted on Sep 30, 2008 03:06:07 PM

There have been many popular Star Trek games, but the famous science fiction series still hadn’t made its way to the PSP. This all changed with the release of Star Trek: Tactical Assault for our favourite PlayStation Portable handheld console. Many Star trek titles were typically strategy oriented titles but Tactical Assault has breached that mentality. In this game you play as a starship captain and take charge of ship, eventually working your way to better, more powerful and more advanced ships. Read the rest of this entry »

Star Ocean: First Departure is Interesting enough

Posted on Sep 29, 2008 12:36:15 PM

Star Ocean: First Departure is an interesting game where you are assigned the responsibility of protecting a small town on the planet Roak. The game surrounds three friends, Roddick Farrence, Millie Chliette, and Dorne Murtough who are shown patrolling the small town of Kratus in the opening sequence set in space. The game literally takes off when a group of bandits invade the town and you have to guide the trio in fending off the culprits. What keeps you engaged in this adventure is that it does not reveal too much of the plot in the beginning; thereby keeping you engrossed in the story throughout the game. Since you never know what will happen next, the game is really a test of your resourcefulness and ingenuity. Read the rest of this entry »

Napoleon Dynamite: Unfortunately Lacking both Direction and Spirit

Posted on Sep 29, 2008 11:49:36 AM

Napoleon Dynamite is a game based on a film by the same name, released in 2004. The game is a collection of a series of mini games at its core, which can only be described as mediocre at best. The game hardly lives up the level of the original film, and lacks both quality and content. What complicates the matter even more is a story without direction, and a collection of truly some of the most boring and drabbest mini-games you will ever come across. A bunch of memorable lines that are taken from the film are also barely audible due to a lack of proper audio back up system in the game. It thereby gives you a very damp feeling about the entire thing. Read the rest of this entry »
